Have you tried the remodel AI app? It's free to download and it will generate a redesigned image based your design style preferences. Upload an image of your interiors or exterior, it can regenerate the entire space or components such as paint, flooring and landscaping. It's a fun way to get inspired and see what could be possible... and impossible.

It can also be completely ridiculous and far removed from reality that it perfectly illustrates the limitations of AI (for now). I've included several pictures of our exterior. As you generate several iterations in a row, the further it gets from the original picture What a world we live in!

I enjoy playing the game spot the differences. It helps identify small and actionable details of what makes the updated version so appealing.

I spy:

• a new stone driveway

• new exterior cladding (hello cedar shake)

• a round window above the garage

• sconces by the garage door

• window mullions

• plants in the pots in front of the garage

• exterior sconces by the door

• a new tree

I then asked Remodel AI to generate a second image based on this image. This is where it gets fun. My initial thought was that it looked nice, but something was off. On second look, I realized it built a house on a house. But the landscaping is still on point.
