I'm sad to report that it is two weeks later and I never received a response back from Ballard's designer. After such promise based on our conversation! I was looking forward to a full design package with a floor plan, product suggestions and fabric samples. I sent a follow-up email to my design rep (I am not naming names) to see if she needed any additional information or had questions. I then called the store and she assured me that she was working on something to send over this afternoon. Since that was now a few days ago, I think this is a lost cause. Perhaps she arrived at the conclusion that the casual coastal style was a stretch for some of their product lines? It doesn't taint my view of Ballard. They are in my mind still an excellent design resource for information and products. I'll stick to the shopping on their website, listening to their podcast and following their blog for now.

I've updated this post as it's since occurred to me that the designer was based on their retail showroom in Tysons Corner, VA. The design services offered through these retailers are typically tied to their retail store to support sales. Given the two hours driving distance, I'm sure she wrote me off as an online sales client rather than one who would be purchasing through their store. I guess she was right!
